Of course, I've cherry picked the best here, and there was an awful lot of shoddy bad art too, but going through the episodes it's amazing the volume of painted scenery they got through. ![]() It's true, a lot of G1 background paintings were well done (especially the Cybertron landscapes, which remind me of the Chuck Jones' futuristic Tom & Jerry shorts). Panning shots have allowed me to capture a series of screen grabs and compile them into extra-tall and extra-wide panoramic views, giving an overview of a scene which you don't get just by watching it onscreen: rare case of it being painted rather than animated: This is the periscope-style entrance to the Decepticon undersea base. Hopefully this will be sort of a library of reference for folks to use if they need any G1 scenery.Īlthough I have touched up the three main images, the base artwork in these and all the rest is as produced by Sunbow for G1: In cases where the camera zooms in during a shot, such as the Cybertron planet image, or the waterfall with the Ark in the distance, I have overlaid multiple screen shots to get the most detail in the central area. The other G1 backgrounds here are a selection from the many to be found in the cartoon (mostly season one). Originally, these were screen grabs from the cartoon I had to upscale them, smooth out all the pixels, and rework all the detail, as well as generally tidying them up to be presentable (such as giving the mountains in the distance a blur effect). Near the end of the war, after the Ark, along with Sentinel Prime. ![]() The main Ark exterior, interior, and desert-scape are all large scale images. The franchise began in 1984 with the Transformers toy line, comprising transforming mecha toys from Takaras Diaclone and Micro Change toylines rebranded for. Optimus Prime, Transformers, Autobot, Optimus Prime Transformer, blue stone background. So, as well as those pieces in here, other backgrounds I've collected from the G1 cartoon. I always use backdrops for my photoshoots, and whenever I post a custom I get asked where I got the background. Cartoon Background, Background Images, Transformers Movie, Art Album, War Machine, Feature. Just be patient while your browser uploads all of the images. My opinions on the Titans are limited considering there's only two I have, and again, I'm just one person.(Note that this is an image-heavy thread. If you're not looking to be accurate, go for Titans Return Trypticon and/or Energon Sharkticon (note that the former may require some fixes, as it has a couple of QC issues, and the latter would be out of scale), they're both based on the Nemesis.Īll in all though, I'd wait to hear more opinions. either that, or I can't tell my ships apart. There is a Reformatting Galvatron coming up soon, and the tiny figures scale well for the Ark, but there's no Nemesis accessory. Its environment is fully automated and self-sufficient. ![]() It has five decks and houses a full crew complement of 300 Transformers (although it can be flown by only a handful if necessary). The Ark is a Vanguard-class Deep Space Interceptor. The Titan next year as well is Cybertron Metroplex/Megalo Convoy. The Ark (, ku) is the name given to the Autobot spaceship that, in many universes, originally carried the Autobot and Decepticon armies to Earth. WFC-K30 Autobot Ark transforms from Space Ship to robot and back and is screen accurate to the Transformers: War For Cybertron Kingdom Chapter Netflix Animated Series. Nemesis has been tossed around as a HasLab idea, but it doesn't seem like it's going to happen for right now, especially with the Star Saber HasLab going on at the moment. Transformers War for Cybertron Kingdom WFC-K30 Autobot Ark is Titan Class and stands approximately 19.0-inches tall in robot mode. Other little features on the main ship itself is fine, but for $160, he feels kind of short. Again, pretty well articulated, and having a Teletraan-1 display is really cool, but at the same time, it ends up kibbling onto his back and arms and makes him harder to pose than you would think. This is the latest Titan class figure in the War For Cybertron collection and it brings us a completely new character: A transformable Ark. ![]() His articulation, while good, is fairly standard, and it's even a bit scary due to how loud the ratchet joints are. Courtesy of Geek Culture we can share for you our first in-hand images of the highly anticipated Transformers Kingdom Titan Class Autobot Ark for your viewing pleasure. Like as a display piece in ship mode, he's cool, but his robot mode, while huge, feels like a step down over Scorponok. I don't really have that many Titans (just Ark and Scorponok), but I can say Ark feels like the weaker of the two.
